12/23 - HAPPY HOLIDAY! have a great break!:)
12/21-a ton of people have been working on the lunch tote order
people from business team helped the bag team with cuttingand sticking the velcro on the totes -we split into two groups and cutted about 47 totes?NOTE - after working with the bags for a bit, our hands got kind of grimy. we dont now if its from the banner itself or if its from the ink but we should clean them up before shipping them to the customer. 12/20 - we had our board meeting today -ms. robbins had plans of getting us some zippers -we discussed about the booktiki bags from the even two weeks ago they're just falling apart and with 15-20 of them still in stock, they may just be prototypes as they cant be given away or sold -we heard today that there was a change to the lunch totes? new requirements or something?
12/14 -we having been making the lunch bags or boxes. we have an assembly line going down some people fusing, some tracing the template and cutting the material, and people sewing the bag together.
-ms. robbins came in today and showed two of our sewers how to sew the button hole we shall be getting buttons soon
-we may need to switch or replace baldes because the rotary cutters are wearing down alot from cutting the vinyl banner...
12/20
- STS ordered 65 lunch totes. we are making these without handles to be more "manly" and trying to use only green and black or the green banner with the brown writing.
- We are no focusing on the other lunch tote order the STS order is our priority. We can do it!
2/9 Today we continued to make more bags for Eurydice tomorrow (12/10) -we are still looking for some people to sell during intermission. if no one is there, this selling isn't going to work! it's only like half an hour. after you can watch the show too! - we also started looking into making a pencil case bag with a circular shape to it. (different!) -->started by trying to figure out how we will be able to put it together = template
- working with the idea of a lunch bag. really like the one the other block made. we're working with making a different type of strap to make it stronger so the strap won't easily snap off.
*what do you guys think about an assembly line to get the bags done? we can switch off but for example: a block will cut, b block will sew straps, and then c blck will sew the rest to form the bag. this could change every week so each block can do something. what do you guys think?
12/6 - Today at the board meeting: -discussed about the event 12/7 --> all of tuesday's long block will be devoted make as many bags as we can for it.
-we also plan on selling some bags at Eurydice Friday 12/10 we wont start producing bags for it until after tomorrow's event. So thursday and friday will be devoted to Eurydice. --> we need two or three more people we may be willing to sell that day. if b block or c block have people we would be willing to. let a block know!
- we have been looking up some industrial sewing machines that we may want to put on the wish list. still need to look more into it in terms of reviews, price, etc. keep you updated on that. may have a graph/chart to post up about each machine to compare
